Coinbase Pro, the more advance exchange platform offered by Coinbase, will be launching Yearn Finance (YFI), the DeFi lending protocol, on their Pro platform. Coinbase Pro, the technical exchange platform run by Coinbase, will be adding Yearn Finance (YFI) onto their technical platform. Traders will be able to start trading YFI on the Coinbase Pro platform starting Tuesday, September 15th (assuming liquidity conditions are met), but users will start being able to transfer their YFI to the platform starting Monday the 14th. Once enough liquidity has been provided to establish YFI on the new platform, trading will be initiated in 4 separate phases. These phases include transfer only, post only, limit only, and then full trading. Yearn Finance (YFI) is a decentralized financial (DeFi) platform which provides a variety of financial services to its users. These services include aggregating liquidity and automated market making by moving liquidity providers funds between a variety of other DeFi platforms like dYdX, Aave, and Compound. YFI is the native cryptocurrency of the Yearn.finance network and can be earned by users who provide additional liquidity to yearn.finance’s liquidity pool. As the native token, YFI is also used to decide platform governance.
