A Japanese outfit which has been endorsed by Yahoo! will be launching a new exchange platform, Taotao in May. The exchange platform is owned 40% by Yahoo! following $19 million investment back in March 2018 through their subsidiary YJFX. A year later, and the official launch date has been announced for May. They will kick off their operations offering Bitcoin and Ethereum predominantly alongside three additional cryptocurrencies, Litecoin, Bitcoin Cash and Ripple in margin positions. The combination of Yahoo with the fellow Japanese outfit will see their first attempt breaking into the cryptocurrency market after already acquiring approval from the appropriate regulatory bodies. Although full trading hasn’t begun yet, would-be users will be able to take part in a promotional giveaway scheme which aims to build hype around their brand in the months leading up the launch. The endorsement from Yahoo! will do wonders for Taotao's reputation from the get-go. This is required, as Japan has been a subject of discussion lately, following a series of major hacks, which saw the number increase 10-fold compared to the year prior when records began.
