XTB have stated that stocks and ETFs listed on Bolsa Madrid (BME) will be affected by on-going maintenance at one of their brokers. The impact of this technical work will mean that the orders of these assets will be cancelled on Tuesday, April 21st once the trading period ends at 17:30 CET. After which time it won’t be possible to open any more trading orders until 8 am on the very next day (Wednesday, April 22). [cta text='Visit XTB' href='/out/xtb'] While this may inconvenience some traders, the reason for the technical work is so a broker responsible for receiving orders from XTB can upgrade their order processing system. XTB have that said that as a result of this, traders will experience “higher efficiency of order processing on the broker’s side and as a result better quality of services offered” from their platform. However, CFDs on Bolsa Madrid (BME) will not be affected by the maintenance and will go on completely normally. It will only be the aforementioned stocks and ETFs that will be affected. To ensure you don’t get hit by the cancelling or order, it is advised to go to XTB ahead of time. Although of course, there is now less than 24 hours to do this.
