Months of fantastic promotion and so much positive feedback from the first AI & Blockchain Summit of November 2018 have led to these couple of exciting days, with the 2019 2nd edition of this trailblazing conference. Our team at Cryptimi was delighted to be invited to this fantastic event, with VIP access no less, needless to say, we were more than pumped up to attend. And boy were we impressed! From the get-go, the setting was idyllic – what with typically sunny, springtime weather perfectly complemented by the top-notch venue at Hilton Hotel, where this conference was being held. Upon entering, crowds of people were accumulating slowly but surely, so we huddled up to register and take a quick tour before the talks commence. As expected, each stand was all decked out, with mandatory freebies and goodies – the whole shebang: from stress balls to bottle openers, chocolate delights and croissants. But alas, we needed to focus – so off we went for our first dose of caffeine to be sure we were alert for the opening talks. We were sure to get a seat in time for the Welcoming Remarks by Eric VanDer Kleij, Beverly Tonna and of course, the brains behind this summit, Eman Pulis. All speakers had this pulsating energy which was fitting for what was yet to come. We then heard Bitcoin Foundation chairman Brock Pierce share his insight on AI & Blockchain horizon and how its exponential growth and potential is just the tip of the iceberg. Quoting the great Stephen Hawking, this opening talk was an apt preface of a conference which was only beginning. We couldn’t wait for Day 2!
