South Korean messaging app Kakao, with over 44 million active users, is planning to integrate a crypto-powered wallet that will allow customers to trade, exchange, and store cryptocurrencies into its KakaoTalk app. According to a news published by the Korean outlet Fnnews, Kakao has raised over $90 million to develop its own blockchain network called Klaytn, where the company plans to migrate all Kakao platforms. Klaytn is expected to have a commercial launch at the end of June 2019. The wallet would be integrated into the blockchain network after the Klaytn launching. The new crypto wallet integration would be the strategic and marketing move to introduce its 44 million users into the new Blockchain ecosystem.
