Coinbase has now made Algorand (ALGO) available for trade on the Coinbase exchange. Customers of Coinbase will now be able to buy, sell, convert, send, store, and receive ALGO into their Coinbase wallet. Coinbase users will be able to execute these new functions all on their platforms, including Coinbase.com and the Coinbase IOS and android apps. Algorand was founded by Silvio Micali, a world renowned cryptographer and Turing award winner. Algorand is focusing on enhancing many of the technical infrastructural problems that many current blockchain projects are already facing. Specifically, Alogrand wants to be a project that improves blockchain security, application scalability, and decentralization. Algorand was officially launched in June 2019 and runs on a proof of stake method of transaction validation. Alogrand has already been available to buy, sell, and convert with on Coinbase Pro, and will also start introducing ALGO trading with the British Pound and Euro. Since Algorand is now available on the main Coinbase platform, it will be available for all types of coinbase users who want to utilize the cryptocurrency.
