As of tomorrow (2nd December), Michael Poetscher is set to take up a new role as the Chief Marketing Officer to their global marketing team. In his new role, Poetscher main task at hand will be spearheading BitPanda’s vision of tokenisation into the global market. With over a decade of experience operating in areas of business such as brand leadership, product marketing e-commerce and of course, marketing strategy elsewhere, he appears to well equipped to take the fast-expanding exchange platform to the next stage. However, for Poetscher it will be a bit of a change of industry as he previously worked as the CMO for TourRadar, a travel comparison website. As such, in this respect, it may appear as a bit of an interesting choice. This said, in that role, he focused on data-driven marketing, brand building and real-tie reaction to customer needs. All of which will be significant assets when it comes to what he will be doing at BitPanda. Sentiments shared by the co-CEO of Bitpanda, Eric Demuth, stating that Poetscher will “provide a really fresh and much needed data-driven approach to our marketing, leveraging his 7-years’ experience in transforming an unknown company in a niche market into a world-renowned travel company.”. Demuth went on to explain, “We believe this experience and strong track record are crucial to take Bitpanda to the global stage, and exponentially grow our 1 million registered user base, as well as help us communicate the power and innovation of the Bitpanda trading platform,” Poestscher himself explained that the fast-growing nature of Bitpanda was what, in fact, drew him to the firm also. Saying that “The fact that the company has grown so quickly off the back of its outstanding product without external funding, and is winning awards recognising its impact made it a clear choice for me to join the team.”
