Voorhees, the CEO of ShapeShift, who acquired the KeepKey back in 2017, shared the letter via online blogging site Medium. He began by thanking users for taking crypto security seriously. With their choice of KeepKey helping to keep those dangers at bay. This was followed by an update of ShapeShifts, which they are currently developing a new version of. Stating the following improvements to the platform would see it become more convenient than cold storage, more secure than a custodial wallet or exchange and more beautiful and more ethical than a bank. With KeepKey being the ideal tool in order to gain maximum benefits from the new and improve ShapeShift. With the blog post stating “It’s built on a principle that we call “keys-out,” in which your private keys are secured on hardware, and yet you’re able to interact with the new digital financial frontier in an easy way.”
