Kraken, the cryptocurrency exchange, has added 5 additional global funding options.
The Kraken cryptocurrency exchange has recently partnered with Bank Frick in order to add more global funding options for Kraken users. Now that the partnership is finalized, Kraken users will be able to make SWIFT deposits directly to Kraken using USD, CAD, EUR, GBP, and CHF. Kraken has the goal of providing the “widest and most robust” funding options available in the cryptocurrency space, and also recently introduced a free USD deposit option for its users.
Previously Bank Frick was only providing CHF funding options for Kraken users, so this increased partnerships leads to a much deeper relationship between Kraken and Bank Frick. Bank Frick is also working with Kraken to develop payment redundancy for other listed currencies, which will be a nice option for Kraken users who need to utilize international CAD or GBP wires.
The full fee schedule is available on Kraken’s website with a 3 EUR/USD/CAD/GBP being charged for each deposit and 1 CHF, 13 USD/CAD/GBP, and 5 Euro per withdrawal. As with all SWIFT payments, the transaction will typically take 1-5 business days.
