DeversiFi have looked to their community to help find the owners of a selection of wallets that currently own DAI which may be affected as the coin prepares for an upgrade. As we have previously reported, exchange platforms are gearing up for a significant changes to MakerDAO's stablecoin, DAI. This change will see that DAI will change in the way it can be created, specifically, the possibility to use multiple other assets to create it as opposed to just Ethereum as was previously the case. This will essentially change what DAI is. With the old Ethereum-only DAI becoming known as SAI, while the newer format will solely take the title as a DAI token. This will have ramifications for all holders of the DAI token currently, and DeversiFi are hoping to locate the owners of some of their wallets that seem to hold significant numbers of DAI, and other similar tokens, such as MKR. These large balances have remained in their legacy contracts over the series of changes that DeversiFi has recently undergone. With this considered, some people may not be aware of the change or that their wallets currently stored on DeversiFi are set to be affected. With users told if they know anyone who happens to own one of these wallets, or owns one themselves, to inform them of it and get in contact with DeversiFi in order to claim and unlock these tokens.
